My baking journey began with requests for a taste of home from my son, who was away at University…
Starting with a Lemon Drizzle Cake, I soon found that my baked delights were in hot demand and even started posting them to his student house over 200 miles away – the baking bug had well and truly bitten!
In the three years that have passed, I have studied, read, workshopped and experimented, as well as developing recipes and decorating techniques, all in order to produce the perfect cake.
Over the past few months, I have created everything from sugar gymnasts, edible gardens and a teapot. This is in addition to a 3D plant pot with delicate, lifelike sugar flowers and a Parisian themed cake complete with Eiffel Tower and Vespa.
Oh, and a huge replica of a football stadium, made from an egg free cake recipe!
I had worked with colour and design in my previous career, so I have been able to transfer those skills to my cakes.
My motivation comes from knowing how much pleasure a personal bespoke cake can bring and I love being able to help make an occasion special. The picture above says it all for me!
All my ingredients are of the highest quality and every cake is individually designed and created with the recipient’s interests or theme in mind.
